Summer Camp England

4th August 2014

Staring our amazing second week at VC

Monday morning is here again, and with it comes the second week of Session 2 at Village Camps York. Judging by the first week of fun, activity and adventure we have only great things to look forward to.

Morning programs got back to their routine with more energy than ever after this great weekend. This second week is intense for the Basketball, Football and Performing Arts programs who have to prepare for their games and the show on Friday. Intense morning also for the Reds and the Blues who went rafting and kayaking and came back all wet! Meanwhile the students of the English program are improving every day and are more than able now to follow the first rule of the camp, ENGLISH ONLY!

After the morning programs, the kids were offered a large choice of activities for the whole afternoon and had lots of fun playing baseball, football or drawing and sculpting! It was really a pleasure for all of them to get back to this fun and exciting spirit after a week-end off campus!

In the evening, the Reds and the Blues played together to the Village Camps version of Capture the Flag. And it got very competitive, pushing the kids to give their best and to elaborate some strategies to make their team win. An old tradition at York that we re-inaugurate specially for this session! Meanwhile the Yellows had some outdoor games on their own before enjoying a long night of sleep. It was an amazing day and the kids were full of energy, ready to enjoy their last week at camp!
