Summer Camp England
Preparing for the International Night!
Day three started with our amazing morning programs, now that the campers know the camp's organization, they can get down to business and work even more intensively that they were before. It requires lots of energy to wake up every morning and spend hours focusing on a project but we know that the kids have everything to make it profitable.
Adventure and Activities with Clare and Lizzie went to Leeds sailing centre to have a formation in rafting and canoeing and had lots of fun pushing each other in the water. A day spent out of the camp with a taste of adventure that you only find here! Meanwhile Performing Arts were working hard to choose their characters for the final show and Creative Arts were finishing their projects.
It was also an intense morning for all of our footballers were very busy running around on the pitch, only retiring and coming inside when it was time for some lunch. This morning they practised their motor coordination skills at a number of stations on the football field.
English campers got learn and practise their language skills though interactive fun activities. To mention a few the acted out a scenario in which the campers had to solve out a problem that could happen on holiday and later talked about the author of Alice in Wonderland who found inspiration to write this book in the local area.
In the afternoon in session D all the different countries from our international family got together and started preparing their presentation for the International Night. Each country came up with a national dish and country presentation including dancing, singing and interesting things about each country.
