Summer Camp England

Celebrate the summer!

Sunday was the Arrivals Day for Session 1. It was a busy and exciting day at Village Camps York. We were happy to see a lot of familiar faces of returning campers as well as new faces from all over the world. Over the 24 hours we have received 209 campers.

Campers arriving to the camp were greeted by the stunning appearance of the Queen Ethelburga's Campus with lots of statues and art work. There was a continuous BBQ in the Secret Garden and a selection of games and activities all afternoon. As soon as the campers came closer to the accommodation building they could hear Damir, our new music counsellor playing his guitar at the entrance. Entering inside of the building new arrivals were welcomed with colourful and playful decorations made by our creative counsellors.

After dinner colour groups spend time playing ice breakers and team building games. Later on the campers had some free time to finish unpacking and relax. All the campers were encouraged to have an early night after a long day of travelling and to prepare them for the next energetic 2 weeks at camp. We are very much looking forward to getting to know all the new campers and having lots and lots of fun for one last time this year!

Now that we have received all our campers we are ready to "Celebrate the Summer"!
