Summer Camp England
The weekend!
The weekend was great success! On Saturday campers got an hour lie-in in the morning, which was definitely appreciated after the excitement of BIG NiGHT (big congratulations to the Yellow Team who won the night!) Then after breakfast each of the colours got on their respective buses and headed to the Trafford Centre for a day in the shopping mall. While there each of the colour groups got a chance to see a movie; The Lorax for the yellows and The Amazing Spiderman for the reds and blues! They also played a game of laser tag! At the end of the day, and many shopping bags later we returned to camp, happy but exhuasted. Sunday everyone woke up feeling refreshed and we had a nice and easy morning at camp, relaxing and tidying rooms, before getting on the buses to go to York after lunch. York is a beautiful city and we made the most of the sites by doing a photo challenge around the city centre, each group had to find certain historic and important sites and take photos with them which represented the history of each place. Then there was more time to do some souvenir shopping, which made everyone happy! In the evening we headed back to camp for dinner and our evening programme which was TALENT NIGHT! And wow what a talented bunch, we had singing, dancing, some rap and even a couple of appearances by the counselors!

- Lunch: Meatloaf with Tomato Sauce and Garlic Mushrooms
- Dinner: Roasted Vegetables and lemon Cous Cous with Waffles and Maple Syrup
