Outdoor Education staff lead a range of outdoor activities such as trekking, mountain biking, rock climbing, orienteering, mountain navigation and expeditions. Activities are physically challenging, mentally stimulating, and encourage the development of personal and social skills of children.
Strong emphasis is placed on adventure education, environmental education, Georgraphy, Geology and personal and social education. Additional responsibilities include pastoral care of groups and evening programmes.
Village Camps Outdoor Education leaders have a high personal competency in mountain navigation, expedition work, rope work, team building and are motivated to learn. Experience leading any of the following activities is an advantage:
Climbing, hiking, Archery, mountain biking, orienteering, high ropes courses, Outdoor survival skills or bushcraft.
A qualification in Outdoor Education or Geograohy is an advantage.Applicants must speak fluent English.
