TEFL Teacher teaches beginners to advanced level English for several periods during designated times in the day. A variety of backgrounds will be represented and children vary in age and ability in the classroom. Teacher is required to submit long-range plans, plan daily lessons and monitor students' progress using effective techniques. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, swimming, rock climbing, mountain biking, orienteering, arts and crafts, archery, drama, dance, horse riding, tennis, football and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Applicant must hold a TEFL qualification and have proven TEFL teaching experience. Applicants must be physically fit and enjoy adventure and sports activities.

Receptionist greets all visitors entering the building, follows sign in and out procedures depending on age of campers, answers telephone enquiries in an appropriate manner, maintains a log book of all messages received and distributes accurate messages to individuals, calls parents to discuss the progress of their child as required by the camp director, distributes incoming mail and delivers out-going mail to post office daily, and ensures that copies of camp lists and activity information are maintained and updated at all times. Participation in all other aspects of camp life is expected.

Applicant must have experience in office administration and Microsoft Excel and Word. An intermediate to advanced level of spoken French or Italian is required. A first aid-CPR certification and a criminal background check are mandatory for this position

Night Patrol personnel are responsible for patrolling and monitoring the building and facilities once the children are in their rooms for the night. This is a job for someone who would like to work at night, leaving their days free to enjoy the Swiss Alps. Within a two week session, Night Patrol personnel will work 12 shifts beginning at 23.00 hours and finishing at 07.00 hours. There will be 2 nights off each two week session. They will be be responsible for the security and safety of the building and facilities as well as making sure the campers are safely in their rooms.

Applicant must have relevant work experience, experience working with children and preferably be able to speak a foreign language.

Village Camps is looking to hire experienced STEM Robotics counsellors to join the STEM Robotics programme, working with international campers aged 10-17 years. The Village Camps STEM robotics programme works with LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Robotics and is an exciting way for or campers to learn the fundamentals of building and programming a range of different robots. This programme will be open to campers of all abilities. During the course, STEM Robotics counsellors will assist the STEM Robotics Leader in teaching: - The engineering design process - How to design and build structurally sound robots - LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 visual programming concepts - control of robotic responses through sensors and programming - Decision making structures - Team building and problem solving strategies The STEM Robotics counsellors will also be responsible for camper supervision during other sporting/ creative activities throughout the day, evening activities, weekend excursions and wake up and lights out duties.

Applicants must have experience working in STEM Robotics. Knowledge of the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 robotics course is an advantage. Experience working in a residential camp environment is also an advantage.

Applicant must be trained and experienced in digital video filming, editing and production and have experience in working with children in an residential and/or international environment. Duties and responsibilities include designing a fun, educational programme for 10 to 17 year olds, leading the film-making programme for 3 hours daily, reviewing programme resources to implement new ideas and develop the film programme and discussing programme requirements and budgets with the camp director. Other duties include leading a wide range of sporting, creative and outdoor activities such as trekking, swimming, orienteering, arts and crafts, drama, dance, horse riding, tennis, football and basketball.
