Programme Staff - French Teacher/Activity Counsellor

French Teacher teaches beginners to advanced level French for several periods during designated times in the day. A variety of backgrounds will be represented and children vary in age and ability in the classroom. Teacher is required to submit long-range plans, plan daily lessons and monitor students' progress using effective techniques. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, caving, Canadian canoeing, swimming, rock climbing, mountain biking, orienteering, arts and crafts, archery, drama, dance, horse riding, tennis, football and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Applicant must be a native speaker of French, hold a recognised FLE qualification to teach French as a foreign language and have proven teaching experience of a minimum of one year. Skills in other programme activities are an asset. Must be able to swim and canoe confidently and independently.

Programme Staff - Emergency or Wilderness first aid Counsellor

Health Care Counsellor is responsible for camper and staff health. Daily duties range from providing first aid and administering medication, to participating in all aspects of camp life. Other duties involve participating in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, caving, canoeing, swimming, rock climbing, mountain biking, orienteering, arts and crafts, archery, drama, dance, horse riding, tennis, football and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.

Applicants must hold an Emergency/ 1st responder first Aid certification, and have experience working with children. Applicants must be able to swim.
