An excellent ratio of 1:6 between Counsellors and children on each site guarantees full supervision, great care and strong guidance for all our young campers. Counsellors are responsible for direct supervision and when taking into account the management team, nurses and other adults present on the site, the ratio of Village Camps Staff Members to children is around 1:4. |

Counsellors are enthusiastic young people from around the world and their role at camp is to take care of your children making sure they are comfortable, safe and happy at all times. They must be above 21+ years old in order to be considered for a position in the residential camps; the majority are in the age frame 21-35. Counsellors bring with them a variety of cultures and languages, creating a wonderful international environment, a Village Camps trade mark! Experienced management teams are formed at each site to guide counsellors and campers through a summer of learning and fun in the safest conditions possible. Before the summer begins, everyone goes through a rigorous training process developed and perfected through the last 37 years of Village Camps experience! |

Hospitals are all within easy driving distance. In the rare event of illness or accident, parents are called at the first opportunity and advised of the problem and what steps have been taken to help the child. |

Important safety Measures |
| |
|
| |
During every activity all precautionary safety measures are in place and followed strictly while all Village Camps Counsellors are required to have full CPR and First Aid certification. In addition, at all camp sites there are full-time Health Care Specialists looking after campers' health. They are responsible for any first aid and/or medical dispensations, liaising with local doctors and hospitals if need be and keeping all records relating to any illness or accident. |
