OUTSTANDING NEW PERFORMING ARTS CAMP FOR THOSE FOR WHOM THE PLAY’S THE THING ...

Presenting an award-winning VILLAGE CAMPS programme for enthusiastic young actors, singers and dancers with “stars in their eyes” ... who love to perform and have a hunger to learn more about the art of performance.  This stimulating, fun course is lead by a superbly talented team headed by the charismatic Michaela Warrilow, star of stage and TV, with many years experience in developing winning programmes for young people.

Lights, camera, action... the skills, talents and aspirations of campers are quickly assessed and goals set.  Players, ranging from enthusiastic beginners to those more seasoned are shaped into a full participating company of performers.  Actors, actresses, singers, dancers ... from dainty ballerinas to hardy hip-hoppers ... everyone has a chance to shine, to step into the spotlight.

FULLY ROUNDED FUN STUDY COURSE

Each and every camper has the time of their lives, studying, working and playing hard while learning and developing talents and skills.  Collaborating with knowledgeable, caring professional staff, campers are introduced to and taught about the inner workings of Performance Arts, including such important aspects as stagecraft, lighting, stage production, scenery, make-up, costuming, the role of humour, voice projection and much, much more.

CENTER-STAGE FOR ONE AND ALL

Highlight of the Performing Arts Camp, the piece de resistance, is a fully developed original stage production created by campers themselves with Performing Arts members showing their talent to the entire camp.

dancing - acting - singing - laughing - tumbling

cavorting in whichever direction their talent and specialty takes them, this is the spectacular “Showtime” they’ve all been working towards.  And what a wonderful time in their lives it is, indeed!

Facilities at the VILLAGE CAMPS Performing Arts Camp include:

- 800-spectator theatre
- sweeping stage
- high-caliber sound projection
- state-of-the-art lighting system

Parents are welcomed to the final night Gala Presentation but if unable to attend, a DVD of the performance is provided for each participant.

ACTIVITIES

A wide variety of additional activities are offered daily to all campers after their principle programmes have finished, and on weekends.   The wonderful aspect of these activities is that they all involve both instruction and play, being supervised by competent coaches and counsellors with the requisite skills, experience and most important, enthusiasm.

The weekend includes accompanied excursions to terrific places of interest.
