First stop, Hellbrun Schloss, the Hellbrun castle was built by a creative and wealthy Prince and Archbishop; Markus Sittikus. He wanted “to create such a place that had never previously existed”. After an informative tour around the castle and its grounds the campers were led into the very surprising trick water fountains. This is an area that has a series of hidden water fountains hidden all around. The children love it as they like to see their counselor get squirted with water!
After drying off and some lunch at the park on the grounds the campers were taken into Salzburg city. After a quick discussion at the designated meeting point the reds were given free time and the yellows were given a tour of Mozart’s birth house and free time.
There was window shopping for some, souvenir shopping for others and general chilling out time for the remainder. After everyone had shopped till they dropped we returned to camp for a healthy dinner and finished the evening off with a choice if either watching a movie or playing gym games. What a day!
