Well the third session got off to a great start today, we had wonderful weather, a great group of campers, and the fantastic team of staff we have are still here and still going strong!
A big welcome to all campers who were not here for the first or second session, they were both huge successes and hopefully this session will be equally enjoyable.
Being the first day of a new session, there were no excursions off campus, so all our activities were busy all day with groups of campers.
The Introduction meeting that we have on the first morning of every session was followed by Ice-Breaking games and then the different ages split up; the Mini campers went to mini Olympics, and played a series of games on the main field. The intermediates and seniors went off to one of the numerous other on-campus activities: Dance, Drama, Arts and Crafts, Gyms 1 and 2, Music, Luna Field and various others.
Our excursion will start tomorrow, with groups going to Nyon Piscine, the forest in Trelex, bowling in Gland, the list really goes on an on…
All the campers either received their t-shirts today, or they will tomorrow, as well as caps for all of those who ordered them, (if you didn’t order a cap for your child they are still available to buy in the office.)
Apart from the unavoidably chaotic arrival and departure periods, today was an exceptionally smooth first day of camp, which I think is a good omen for the rest of the session; hopefully the weather won’t change too much = today was perfect!
We have a great two weeks planned, and hopefully everyone will make the most of these last session and they will make a great ending to what has been a great summer!!
