Well it was a wet, warm, sunny, fun, tiring, exciting Special Day here at Village Camps!
The day started sunny and the first thing on the agenda was the skit by the Senior Counselors in which our gallant hero, Wililam Tell, was imprisoned by the evil emperor of Coppet- Dark Destroyer! Thankfully, with the help of Roger Federer, Einstein, Henri Durant, and some other Swiss Stars, William Tell was freed from his dungeon and the festivities of Special Day could commence!!
Shortly after that the Seniors and the Nine’s went to spend the rest of the morning at Nyon Piscine, and thankfully were there while the weather was still nice, and the Intermediate’s and the Mini Campers stayed on campus to play games on the main field.
All of these activities were followed by a nice big barbeque lunch, which started outside, but quickly moved into the cafeteria after mother- nature changed her mind and it started to rain. Nevertheless, everybody enjoyed the food and the rain did not make things too cold, and we had a good contingency in place, so the rest of the afternoon went quite smoothly.
The carnival and the performances for the parents were in the main gyms, and I urge you to look at the pictures posted on the site, as some of the costumes that the children had made in Arts and Crafts really were amazing.
Our dance specialist Katie, Drama specialist Kelly, and our Music specialist Ben, really did a great job in preparing the songs and dances, and all the campers did a fantastic job in performing them!
After a rest and an ice cream, it was time to go home!
For all of you not coming back next session, we hope you had a great summer and look forward to seeing you next year, and to all of you who are coming back on Monday, we have a great session planned with lots of activities, so enjoy the weekend, and we will see you soon!!
Bonnes Fetes!!
