Camp Journal - Village Day Camp Geneva

Another great day here at Village Camps !

The weather was fantastic again after the rainy weekend, and all our activities and excursions were in full swing.

The six year olds took advantage of the sunny weather and calm lake and took the boat from Coppet port to Nyon, where they played in the small playground by the port before coming bak to camp for lunch.

The Nine year olds and two senior groups were the lucky ones that went to the pool this morning, they had a relaxing few hours by the pool, swimming and sunbathing. The nine year olds actually ended up having the best schedule of the day, after the pool in the morning they came back to camp to have lunch, which today was pizza, and then went on to the bowling in Gland where they spent the afternoon giving their counselors a lesson in the art of bowling!

The sevens spent the afternoon in Trelex forest, chasing bears and building small huts for the fairies, and three senior groups got to spend the entire day in Signal de Bougy. In the morning they did the rope obstacle course or Minigolf, followed by a pic-nic lunch outside by the playground.

With all of these excursions camp seemed a little quite today, but that silence was deceptive as all our campers were busy putting their finishing touches to Special Day Costumes, painting plates in pottery, or having a great time running wild on our sports pitches!

He comes from Uzbekistan and speaks Russian, as well as English and French, fluently. 

Jura is a huge hit with the children, whom he enjoys working with, as well as being popular with all our other staff.

He enjoys reading, traveling, and chess, and when doing sports prefers biking and playing soccer.
